Not cool dude

Paramus, NJ

Dan says, “Not only is he nowhere close to being in the center of the spot (he is just barely in the lines), but about a quarter of his car is in the space behind him. Parking was pretty bad this day, and this a**hole just HAD to take up two spots.”

Leif says the violation here is parking over 3 spaces, maybe 4 if you consider the rear left corner of ther car. “I guess the owner thought he was king of the hill.”

Reckless drivers lead to reckless parkers

Location Unknown

John says, “I think this guy liked the look of the parking spaces so much he decided to take two. Actually he was driving recklessly with no regard for the safety of other road users. Looks like his disregard for others extends to his parking too.”

Not a curb dodger

Maple Grove, MN

Rachel took this picture outside a LeeAnn Chin restaurant. That’s all we know…

Except for that the van driver is clearly very hungry and can’t be bothered with dodging curbs.

Tight squeeze

Kalamazoo, MI

Kimberly says, “I was visiting my mother in the hospital , after a particularly heinous day, only to come out and find this little treat. My car is the red car; the van was not there when I parked.  These pictures actually do not do proper justice to exactly how shitty the van’s parking job was.  I have a two-door car with extremely long doors and it was challenging, to say the least, to just to be able to get into my car. There was only around a 6 inch gap between my back bumper and the van so backing out was a treat as well.”

Bad Parking Break

Fair warning faithful readers: posting may be sparse here the next couple weeks. Bad Parking is going on a little vacation. I have scheduled some posts to get you through the middle of next week, but then you may have to live without your Bad Parking fix for a short time. Fear not, BP will be back in full force very soon.

In the meantime, keep taking those bad parking photos and sending them my way. I expect a full inbox upon my return.

Checkin’ out them books

San Diego, CA

Jeff says, “I had stopped at my neighborhood library on my way home from work. (The library is seen in the background of the photo.) Having selected two novels, I was on my way back to my car when the chain reaction occurred. The badly parked Nissan was already in position. I watched the GMC pickup enter the parking lot and park next to the Nissan in precisely the same manner as the Nissan.”

2+2=4

Tewksbury, MA

Laureen says, “This person was parked all alone far from other cars in a Rite Aid parking lot, but was not only in two spots vertically but also in two spots horizontally.”

That’s four spots. So unnecessary even when nobody else is around.

Harley Brat

Oklahoma City, OK

Jake says, “Another example from a hospital.  The bumper sticker says ‘Harley Brat’ and she must be quite the brat.  The parking structure was under construction, so about a third of the spaces were unavailable. What a perfect time to use two of them.”

What is that? A van? SUV? I can’t tell…
