Sitting in the lane

St. Ives, England

Andrew says, “While heading out to dinner, we found this guy who apparently didn’t feel the need to actually get into the parking spot. Instead, he simply drove down the road as close as possible to the other cars along the curb and got out at the open spot. Note that the entirety of this maroon car is in the lane in which one should be driving.”

From what I can see, this appears to be a one-way street. Note the yellow car on the other side of the street that is facing the opposite direction of every other parked car.

    This is pretty late but…

Daphne, it’s actually a two-way street. The car behind the yellow one is also facing the same direction, as is the one behind the black wagon that’s in front of the yellow car. Also, the red car in front of the Audi on the side closest to where I was when I took this picture is facing opposite. In England, they don’t have that rule that says you have to park the same direction that you drive.
