Not so compact

Shreveport, LA

Lisa says, “Apparently the owner of this Mustang figured since he couldn’t fit in 1 compact spot, he would take up 2. The chain of stupid this started was way too long to be captured in 1 picture. Not too far down the row was a Dually whose owner also decided it would be a good idea to take up 2 spaces, although I guess he didn’t think there was anything wrong with that since he actually FILLED both compact spaces.”

A la Lowe’s

Ann Arbor, MI

Hans says, “I was at a Lowe’s getting some garden stuff, and when I came out I was blocked in to my spot by the red Mustang in the picture.  Clearly he was in a hurry to get his grill 60% off or … something.”

Shared lot

Glendale, CA

Sara says, “Chipotle just opened up last week and shares a small parking lot with Trader Joe’s, so the parking went from bad to worse. My friend managed to find the spot next to this truck.  From the back it doesn’t look so bad, but when you see how much this jerk is sticking out into the aisle…I’m surprised anyone could get past him. Bad parking at it’s finest.”

Perpetually

Winter Park, FL

Ryan spotted this at a Whole Foods and says, “I don’t know who parked first, but it’s leading to parallel bad parking. Even that red SUV on the right is getting close to being over the line. What is it about parking that causes people to simply mimic whatever the car next to them is doing?”

Question: If you park next to a bad parker, do you do your best to park correctly? Or do you just perpetuate the problem?

Another sore thumb

San Diego, CA

Jeff says, “A parking lot I’ve found bad parking in before. Large pickup sticking out like the proverbial sore thumb from the defined parking space into path of potential traffic.”
